ThelatestdatafromDidiChuxing,China'slargestride-sharingservice,hasrevealedthatthenumberofcar-sharingservicestravelingamongBeijing,TianjinandHebeiprovincehasquadrupledinthepastyear.Thethreemostpopularroutestakenbyusersofcar-sharingservicehavebeenbetweenBeijingandtheportcityofTianjin,Hebei'sLangfangandBaoding.CarpoolingserviceshavealsohelpedtorelievethepressureonBeijing'sairtraffic,withmanyoptingtocarpooltoneighbouringcitiestofly.Thedataofthesurveyrevealedthenumberofpeopleusingcar-sharingservicestogototheTianjinandShijiazhuangairportshasquadrupledinthepastyear.Thedataalsoshowedtouristattractions,suchasthelakeofBaiyangdianandQinhuangdaocityinHebei,werepopularamongcar-sharingserviceusers.Tripstotheseareashaveincreasedbythreetimes.AccordingtoDidiChuxing,thetotaldistancetravelledusingsharedrides,inthepastyear,amountedto270millionkilometersamongthecitiesinvolved.Thishashelpedtoreducethecarbondioxideemissionof49,000tonsinayear,whichisequivalenttohowmuchCO22.67milliontreesabsorbinayear.YangZhiquan,aresidentinYanjiao,atown30kilometersfromdowntownBeijing,isoneofmanypeoplewhohavebenefittedfromofferingfellowcommutersalift.The48-year-oldworksataconstructioncompanyinBeijing,andspendsmorethanfourhourscommutingtoandfromworkeveryday.Yangsaidheenjoyedhavingsomeonetotalktoonthelong,lonelyjourney,andstartedofferingridestocommutersinthebeginningofthisyear."Igettomeetdifferentpeople,suchasbusinessmenandaverageofficeworkers,onthewaytoandfromworkeveryday,"hesaid.YangtoldBeijingYouthDaily,inareportonTuesday,thecar-sharingexperiencehasnotonlybroughtfriendship,butextraincome.DidiChuxingestimatedbytheendof2017about1.6millionrideswillbetakeneachmonthamongBeijing,TianjinandcitiesinHebei.
